Full 2026 rankings, city guides, and red-flag checks: Business Cash Advance Settlement.

A deposit total flatters the business before it informs the funder. Every dollar that entered the account appears equal on the summary line, while only some of those dollars represent revenue that can support another obligation.

No verified underwriter checklist exists in the sources inspected. What follows is cash flow diligence any owner can perform before submitting a file, not a map of any funder criteria, and no statement pattern described here promises approval, an amount, or terms.

1. Segregate Customer Receipts From Other Deposits

Expansion Capital Group financing information lists recent bank statements among its application documents and describes regular income shown through those statements. That establishes one provider use for the records. It supplies no universal formula, and the business should compare and reconcile its own books before any reviewer does it first.

Build a source schedule beside the statements, marking each deposit as customer payment, financing proceed, owner contribution, or transfer from an affiliated account. Only the first category evidences operations. The package for one applicant ran to ninety pages across four accounts. The explanation that mattered occupied half of one page.

Leave the bank original untouched and annotate the schedule instead. An unexplained deposit should remain unexplained until its record is found, since an optimistic classification can harden into a representation once signed. Owners compile these files at kitchen tables after midnight. The effort deserves a reader.

What the owner includes, or omits, in the package shapes the questions that follow. Seldom does a single statement tell the whole story, and transfers between accounts need tracing so the same money is never counted twice.

2. Read Timing, Not Just Totals

Monthly totals conceal shortages on particular days. Set customer receipt dates against payroll, supplier commitments, rent, and existing financing withdrawals to test whether cash stands available when obligations arrive. The total describes volume. It says nothing about timing.

In January, when holiday receipts have cleared and supplier bills arrive together, the timing gaps stand exposed. A large deposit near the cutoff can gild the closing balance while the preceding weeks ran thin, and a payment arriving just after the cutoff can darken a period whose cycle is healthy. That comparison is the entire discipline in miniature, yet the work continues past it: pending items and funds availability can divide the ledger balance from usable cash, and the distinction deserves documentation wherever it once caused a missed payment.

The lowest balances repay study as a planning matter. They reveal when the account held no room for another withdrawal, a fact about capacity rather than about any provider threshold. Averages smooth the account the way fresh snow smooths a parking lot, hiding every pothole without filling one.

The statement is a history. The forecast is an argument. Reviewers trust the first and discount the second.

Add the proposed payment to a forecast built from this history. A schedule that fits only when receipts arrive earlier than past performance warrants needs a stated reason for the change. The forecast that follows should be honest, even if it is ugly, and a weaker receipts scenario, labeled as assumption rather than prediction, can show how much flexibility survives.

3. Explain Recurring Withdrawals and Irregular Events

Identify existing financing payments and tie each one to the debt schedule. A transaction description may name a servicer or processor rather than the creditor, so the signed agreement and ledger may be needed to complete the identification, and no position should vanish from the application because its name was abbreviated on the statement.

And a transfer label explains the banking mechanism without establishing its business purpose. The label says transfer. It does not say why, so payments to owners or affiliates need the same supporting invoices or distribution records as third party expenses, and returned items need the bank detail before any description is offered.

An unusual expense with a documented reason, such as a repair or a seasonal inventory purchase, belongs in the file with its record. I have never seen a forecast improve because its author used a smaller font. Where the same emergency recurs, treat it as a regular cost with an irregular schedule rather than calling every difficult month exceptional.

4. Preparation Is Not Prediction

Statements requested in order to test representations the application already made serve the reviewer purpose, not the applicant hope. Supervisory guidance on problem loans directs that accommodations follow a complete review of the borrower financial condition, per the OCC discussion of problem loan workouts, a bank supervisory context that informs diligence without revealing any MCA house criteria (the sources inspected state no minimum balances, deposit counts, or lookback periods, so none appear here).

This predicts nothing. Preparation still matters.

5. Bring the File to Delancey Street

Delancey Street is a debt settlement company, not a law firm, that can discuss business debt negotiation where the statements show payments exceeding capacity, while independent counsel handles contract questions and disputes (the reviewer, who it should be noted sees dozens of files a week and spends the first minutes sorting deposits by source before reading a single narrative the applicant wrote, decides in minutes whether the file is legible).

Bring the statements, the source schedule, the debt list, and the forecast to that review. Ensure the proposal rests on receipts already earned and names the obligations it resolves, and request and record the documents due after performance so the closing leaves a paper trail.

Resist the urge to select only the attractive months. Whether any particular funder weighs lowest balances more than averages is unknowable from the published material. The total stops flattering once the owner reads it first.

FAQ

How much can debt settlement save?
Typical settlements range from 30–60 cents on the dollar, depending on the funder, contract terms, and legal leverage available.
Can I settle if a COJ has been filed?
Yes — but you need legal intervention, not just negotiation. Attorney-coordinated firms can file motions to vacate and stay enforcement.
How long does debt settlement take?
Specialized firms typically resolve cases in 2–6 months — much faster than general debt settlement programs.
Will it affect my credit score?
MCA debt is generally not reported to consumer credit bureaus, so settlement typically doesn't impact your personal credit.
