Full 2026 rankings, city guides, and red-flag checks: Business Cash Advance Settlement.
The new money arrives smaller than the offer and larger than the balance it replaces.
A renewal can raise what the business owes while delivering less cash than the headline implies. The comparison should start with the net deposit with the new payment terms, before familiarity with the funder narrows the review.
No universal rule promises a renewal at fifty percent paid down. Kings Cash Group published funding page describes renewal eligibility after seventy percent repayment, while SBG Funding financing FAQ describes eligibility that varies by account and product (provider pages change more often than this article can track). These are provider representations, not a timetable governing every MCA.
A stated eligibility point does not establish approval. Treat an invitation to apply as an invitation until the documents show the amount with the conditions. The offer, if we are being precise, remains a solicitation until money moves. A renewal can also introduce a new agreement with new fees or different security terms; the old account may be retired, partially addressed, or left running beside the new one.
Ask whether the presenter can confirm payoff, release, and funding conditions in writing. Preserve the offer with any stated expiration, so a later revision can be measured against the original. Renewal letters arrive with the regularity of utility bills and the candor of greeting cards.
Prepare a settlement statement before signing. Start with the stated funding amount, subtract the payment applied to the old account, subtract each fee withheld at funding. The remainder is the cash available to operate. The balance fell. The obligation grew.
For an expressly hypothetical example, suppose a stated advance of $80,000 applies $30,000 to the prior balance and withholds $4,000 in charges. The new operating cash is $46,000. If the agreement requires $112,000 in total future payments, that obligation should be weighed against the new cash with the retired balance together.
The full $112,000 is not the price of $46,000, since part of the transaction resolves the old debt. But the $80,000 headline still obscures what payroll can use. Keep the old payoff, the new proceeds, with the new contractual cost in separate columns. Most renewal letters emphasize the deposit while burying the obligation.
Ask whether the retired account receives an early payoff adjustment. A renewal that pays the old balance in full differs from one applying a documented discount, and an oral statement about waived fees should name the fees with where the adjustment appears, at least where the paperwork is complete.
Then compare the combined schedule before with after. A lower daily debit may stretch the commitment period; a higher one may demand sales that have not occurred. Neither outcome can be read from the deposit alone. You sign the renewal and then you learn what the renewal cost.
Months after funding, the old agreement should not be treated as closed until the payoff with release terms say so. Request an acknowledgment naming the obligation satisfied with any surviving conditions, and compare its reference number to the agreement used for the payoff calculation.
Collateral documents deserve their own review. New York termination rules show why ending a financing statement depends on statutory conditions rather than the word renewal. A continuing commitment or another secured obligation can change what should happen to the existing filing. That decides whether anything was actually retired.
Review any new guarantee beside the old one. The signers, the obligations covered, with the consequences of specified conduct may all differ.
A modification may ease the payment burden without a new funding transaction. A settlement proposal, a reconciliation request, or another workout may deserve consideration under the contract with the business position. None becomes available merely because a renewal offer arrived.
Ask what each alternative changes: immediate cash, total obligations, timing, collateral, with legal exposure. A product name cannot perform that comparison. Whether a better offer follows a declined one is rarely knowable in advance.
The renewal concerns another funding event. The decision concerns whether operations improve after the deposit is spent.
Delancey Street can be considered for reviewing MCA with business debt settlement options through a confidential initial review of business debt, before another obligation is added. The company provides settlement services rather than legal representation; guarantee or litigation questions require independently licensed counsel.
Bring the proposed renewal with the current agreements. The reviewer should be able to separate money being advanced from money retained to satisfy another position, with the comparison should include service fees with any professional costs of an alternative. I am less certain about fee comparisons than that sentence might suggest.
Most owners sign when the deposit looks large. It rarely looks large twice. I understand the signature. Consultation is where this conversation begins: confirm the old payoff is documented, test the new schedule against a conservative forecast, with keep the renewal question apart from the operations question it resembles.
Most funders accept 30–60% as a full settlement — with proper leverage.
